Welcome to the twenty-second annual Española Valley Arts Festival! We look forward to your joining the Festival family of fine artists and artisans this year.

Here are a few items with which you will want to acquaint yourself in your application process:

  1. All artists and artisans who live in New Mexico or produce Southwest art are eligible to participate in this Festival.
  2. This is a Festival celebrating Southwest art forms. NO KITS OR IMPORTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All work must be created by the artist(s) represented; non-compliant artists will be asked to leave.
  3. Since this is a juried show, First-time applicants must submit three photos of the work he/she intends to sell in the booth for review by the Festival board. This requirement applies ONLY to new artists or former artists who have added new lines.
  4. Each participating artist must select ONE (1 only) award category in which he/she wishes to be judged for the ribbons and cash prizes ($100 first, $50 second, $25 third in each category). JUDGING WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, OCT. 5th, 2007. DETAILS WILL ARRIVE WITH YOUR ACCEPTANCE FORM.
  5. Booth fee is $65 for a one-person booth, $80 for a two- or more-person booth. Add $20 for booths reserved after deadline, if available. If you are sharing a booth, it is necessary for EACH participant to fill out a complete form and the two or more forms to be SUBMITTED TOGETHER with the required fee and photos (newcomers only.)
  6. Covered booths are either 8’ x 8’ or 6.5’ x 10’ (see map); you are responsible for your own tables, displays, chairs, etc. Setup begins early in the morning each day and must be completed by 9:00 AM at which time you must remove your vehicle from the unloading zone. Nearby parking is available.
  7. Fill out your application form in either printing or typing, and SIGN THE WAIVER FORM.
  8. Application fees are non-refundable after August 31, 2007.
  9. Each artist is responsible for collecting and paying NM gross receipts tax.
  10. ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMALS ALLOWED.
